A year has passed since our first Climate Fest, and we’re now just a few days away from the second, Creative Climate Fest 2026. A lot has happened in the intervening year, not least the unsettled politics of the UK, but we’re keeping our programme of community and environmental awareness as active as ever. This year’s event will have artists, musicians, craftspeople, filmmakers, gardeners and environmentalists coming together again to share their skills with the visiting public.

We’ll start at 12pm on Saturday, with the festival kindly opened by Pembrokeshire County Councillor Maureen Bowen, and a full programme of music by a range of excellent local musicians will follow. There will by country, Welsh folk singing, jazz, Ukrainian folk music and singer songwriter acts over the course of the two days, shared between a stage in the Green Barn, where the festival is based, and the more intimate setting of Gwalia Stores, the lovely reconstructed 1950s village shop.

We have in this year’s festival work from artists in Oriel Q gallery, Narberth. Throughout the main hall a wide range of art from its members can be seen, strikingly hung from the roof struts. We are also very lucky to feature the work of Elizabeth Haines, who has very kindly offered some of her exceptional work for the event.

Some fantastic workshops and demonstrations will be running over both days. Popty Press will do a natural colours workshop; the artist Hew Fuller will do a sustainable materials wrapping project; Silbers CIC will have a shave horse workshop; a felt making workshop will be run by Angie Mantle; and wood-turning and wood carving by Jason Wilkins and Anthony Griffith respectively. There will also be holistic woodland craft workshops and environmental presentations from Scolton Manor.

It’s an occasion for community and the generous sharing of our different skills. Everything is free, the artists and craftspeople are offering their time and effort to make it a memorable event for every visitor. We’ll have wood fired pizzas as well on Sunday, under the auspices of the great local community group, Grŵp Resilience.

Please do join us if you can for this Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July. It’s a fairly unique event for a park in Wales, art, music and the environment all wrapped up in a single festival at a busy Pembrokeshire country park!
